I am working on more blogs of course

I have been learning a lot about blogging these past few weeks. I have made another blog that I am dedicating just to my writing...and it is http://jensenwriting.blogspot.com. This site is just going to be some things and thoughts that I write about. My journey that I am taking and the struggles that I am going through and the lessons and skills that I am learning because of these trials.

As we all know, growth hurts more than anything. Sometimes when I am struggling so much, my thoughts and feelings are swarming all around my head and putting them down in my blog seems to make them stay. It is a release of sorts for me. I guess that is why I have kept a journal for all of these years, since I was 12 to be exact.

I want my family and children to know my thoughts and spiritual experiences that I have, they might think that I am always depressed, or trying so hard to be happy, but it is ok to be either. I just want them to know that I have faith in Heavenly Father and that He loves me with all of His heart and won't let me down. I am grateful for my tests in this life because they are what has made me who I am.

Well, I will write more in my writing blog if you would like to read it. Thanks, and love to you all.

The welcoming party

His first day home

Getting out of an army hospital is not an easy task. They take forever to do the simplest things. But we finally have little Ryan home. It was amazing to see him sleep through all the noise and chaos of the tv and kids running around, but the moment Amy took him to bed for a nap, he was awake every 30 min. I guess he was used to the noise. He is such a great baby, he has the biggest eyes and the most peaceful demeanor. I just love being with him. I am having a hard time getting Amy to share him with me, she does not want to let him out of her sight much less, her arms.

He is a great nurser already, but then, Amy is a pro at it. The kids are doing great with a new brother, even Jake, the 2 yr old. We thought he would have a harder time. But then, it's only been one day, time will tell on this one.

Ryan Clay Bass is here

Ryan was born at 2:30 at the military hospital at Fort Irwin, CA. He weighed 7 lbs 10 1/2 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. He has a little bit of blonde hair, identical to Amy's color when she was born. He is perfect and beautiful and I am so happy to have him here. I am so proud of my family. I will post more pictures tomorrow. Our battery died and we left the batteries at home.
